Nestled in the trees on the Thornapple River, every room in this contemporary home remodel boasts a beautiful view.
This contemporary home remodel project began as a flip and was purchased by empty-nesters before the work even began. They fell in love with the wooded location with Thornapple River frontage and the potential in the existing spaces. With four bedrooms and four bathrooms, a large open concept main floor living area and multiple outdoor spaces for waterfront entertaining, this contemporary home can comfortably host a crowd.
In the kitchen, cabinetry from Grabill Cabinets in their inset flush door style in a custom paint match finish on maple create a perfect canvas for showcasing the stunning Cambria Oakmoor countertops. Paneled appliances are hidden from view and support the contemporary, clean-lined design of the space. Double ovens, a large gas cooktop, wine refrigerator, Miele plumbed coffee system and double kitchen faucets are just a few of the other appliances installed to make entertaining a breeze.
The views from the master bathroom are breathtaking. In this space the goal was to bring the outdoors in with natural finishes, textures and light colors. The vanities from Grabill Cabinets in their Ridge door style with a custom glaze and stain finish on textured oak veneer set the “earthy” tone. The Mont Quartz Trinity countertops were wrapped all the way around the cabinets for a unique take on the popular waterfall style.
In the basement wine cellar and bar area, Grabill Cabinets in their Ridge door style with a custom glaze and stain finish on textured oak veneer were also used. This flat front door style allows the custom wine cellars to shine.
